Background
The main idea behind Akshar Amrutam was to develop an app with three main sections — Kirtan, Katha, and Audio Books — each with separate panels containing daily rituals, discourses of sadhus, and detailed Jivan Charitra of Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan. The client had collected over 8,000 audio recordings over the last 40 years.
The Problem
The client's goal was to create a single, centralized source where all devotees could access Kirtan and Katha recordings at any time. Without centralization, discovering and organizing the large volume of recordings was inefficient for both the organization and its devotees — especially for those travelling or in areas without reliable internet.
The Solution
We built a dedicated spiritual audio streaming app for iOS and Android — with a curated three-section content library, intuitive audio player, customizable playlists, offline download capability, and a personalizable home screen — designed specifically for the devotional content listening experience.
